Yes. Lake Allatoona is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and docks, lifts, and shoreline work must comply with its Shoreline Management Plan. Marine Specialties has installed within Corps guidelines on Allatoona for decades and helps guide your project through the requirements.
A well-built dock is one of the highest-impact improvements a lakefront owner can make — it adds usable living space on the water, protects your boat, and is a major selling point for waterfront buyers. The value depends on size, materials, and permitting, which is why every project starts with a free estimate.
On a lake with fluctuating water levels like Allatoona, floating docks are usually the right choice — they rise and fall with the lake, so your dock and boat stay at a safe, usable height year-round without seasonal adjustments.
Rip rap installation is the most proven shoreline erosion control on Lake Allatoona. Properly placed stone absorbs wave action and prevents property loss from runoff, with little to no maintenance once installed correctly.
Is your boat exposed to debris and unstable water levels while consistently docked on the ever-changing water? If the answer is yes, it may be time for a boat lift. Leaving your boat in lake water when not in use can cause costly damage to the bottom of your vessel. If you are looking for a reputable aquatic services provider to install a boat lift or PWC port, Marine Specialties is here to assist you.

Acworth, Georgia
This Lake Allatoona homeowner needed a lift properly configured for a 2025 Supra SA550 within a 12-foot slip at a community dock. Marine Specialties installed a HydroHoist 8,800 UL2 lift with black tanks, V-hull support, and risers for a secure, customized fit.
"Best customer service from start to finish! From the first time I was contacted by Casey in Sales, through scheduling Mikaela, and final install with Trace the technician, I was treated more like a friend being helped by a group friends vs them just trying to get the sale closed and move onto the next person.
Marine Specialties will be my go-to for anything dock or lift related and I highly recommend them. Even if you have worked with other companies in the past, I highly suggest you give Marine Specialties an opportunity. You will not be disappointed!"
The 22.5-foot Supra needed dependable support within an existing 12-by-24-foot community dock. Because the lift was being installed in the second slip on the left when approaching from land, careful planning and precise positioning were essential.
Our team installed the HydroHoist 8,800 UL2 system and configured the V-hull support and risers around the boat’s hull profile. The black tanks complement the dock while providing the flotation needed to raise and store the boat securely out of the water.
The homeowner now has a professionally installed lift tailored to both the Supra and the existing slip. The finished system provides dependable storage, easier launching, and added protection from prolonged water exposure—keeping the boat secure and ready for the next day on Lake Allatoona.

Woodstock, Georgia
This Lake Lanier boat owner needed a dependable lift configured for a new 2026 Barletta C24U tri-toon. Marine Specialties installed a HydroHoist 5,000 UL2 at Victoria Landing.
The 12-by-30-foot dock and 12-foot slip required a lift that could properly support the tri-toon’s hull while fitting within the existing marina layout. Precise positioning was important for safe storage and convenient access.
As Georgia’s only certified HydroHoist dealer, Marine Specialties installed and configured a 5,000 UL2 lift with black tanks specifically for the Barletta tri-toon. Our team carefully aligned the system within the slip to provide balanced support and smooth operation.
The owner now has a professionally installed lift that keeps the new Barletta securely stored out of the water and ready for the next trip on Lake Lanier. The completed system provides easier launching, dependable protection, and a clean appearance that complements the marina dock.

Acworth, Georgia
This Lake Allatoona commercial dock needed repairs beneath the gangway to restore dependable flotation, stability, and access near the boathouse. Marine Specialties replaced eight aging floats and fabricated custom steel cages for the three floats positioned closest to shore.
The floats supporting the gangway had deteriorated and needed to be replaced without disrupting the existing dock layout. The three shore-side floats also required additional protection because of their location and the demands placed on this high-use commercial access point.
Our team removed and replaced all eight floats beneath the gangway. Custom steel cages were fabricated and installed around the three floats closest to shore to provide added protection and long-term support. The existing float cages were removed from the site and disposed of properly.
The completed repair restored reliable flotation beneath the gangway and improved the stability of the dock’s primary access area. The custom-caged floats provide added durability where it matters most, helping keep the Lake Allatoona facility safe, functional, and ready for continued commercial use.
